Above Sylvester signed this copy of his
album to me while
I was playing at the Menagerie in Coral Gables Florida.
They had a real Leopard at the entrance door of the Club.
We met again at a
New York Billboard Awards, when Carlos Nodal (RIP🙏) of
Honey for the Bears In
Miami was given a
DJ Award.

Have others that I lost the Jackets and sold the Vinyl LPS!
I was not on the
football team but I play Football in PE class all the time and
after school
in High School, if I did
not have Band Practice or
any Band Gigs.
And I also worked at a Machine Shop as a machinist then a tool
and die maker while
being also the Plant Supervisor with over 60+ employees
working in
manufacturing machine parts.

MY MUSIC BAND DAYS
Started playing Guitar with my cousin and
friends in
Freeport New York in 1965

"Salt & Pepper", "The Chocolate Milk Shake" and "Shelter", the Bands!
The Plaque was won at a Battle of the Bands publicized in the Replica Magazine with 30 Bands competing and
we Won Second place 1971 @ Miami Dinner Key Auditorium.
From 1969 to 1973
Walter Tyler- Lead Singer / Robbie Rabell - Hammond Organ / Landy - Lead Guitarist / Diego Ibora Jr. - Drums-Percussion and me, Carlos J. Gutierrez - Black Fender Precision Bass.
My Band's Names below. We played at Proms, Hotels, pool parties, apartment clubhouses, clubs and many private parties and mansions at Miami Beach homes in those days.
"Salt & Pepper" we changed the Name to Chocolate Milk Shake
at a Miami High School Television filming for

10 & a Spanish Chanel maybe don't remember if it was Ch. 23
at that
time.

I just play my Guitars at home along with recording from the songs we use to play.
I play all my funky oldies songs along with Carlos Santana, Barry White, many other of my favorites and few salsa songs we used to play.

Did you know? That before becoming a Hollywood Movie Star, actor Andy Garcia was a light show operator at Alexander's Disco at the Omni Hotel in Miami Fl. back in the late 70s??

 See his band on YouTube here  This is his Business card from 1979  I have this business card with his Phone number and address on the back of it from when we first met in the Disco Scene with his Hit song "If You Want It" Debut in Miami 1979. Which I have a Vinyl Original Pressing Copy! 
His Lead Singer Howard Jonson was and is a great singer with a fantastic voice too. Howard Johnson hails from Miami, Florida, U.S.A. Howard began his career singing in local bars and clubs. In one small Miami bar he was spotted by Sandy Torano who was looking to form a group. In 1977, they formed Niteflyte and signed to Ariola for two albums. He remained with the group until the early '80's when he signed with A & M Records as a solo artist. |
